\ud83e\uddd3 SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNT ON ELECTRICITY BILL<\/h2>\n

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9994 \u2013 Expanded Senior Citizen Act of 2010<\/h4>\n

“SEC. 4. Privileges for the Senior Citizens.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

“(c) The grant of a minimum of five percent (5%) discount<\/strong> relative to the monthly utilization of water and electricity supplied by the public utilities:<\/p>\n

Provided<\/strong>, that the individual meters for the foregoing utilities are registered in the name of the senior citizen<\/strong> residing therein;<\/p>\n

Provided, further<\/strong>, that the monthly consumption does not exceed 100 kilowatt hours (kWh)<\/strong> of electricity and 30 cubic meters (m\u00b3)<\/strong> of water;<\/p>\n

Provided, furthermore<\/strong>, that the privilege is granted per household regardless of the number of senior citizens<\/strong> residing therein.”<\/p>\n

      • Barangay Clearance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Proof of Billing:<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • SOA (any month)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • 1 Pc 2×2 Picture<\/strong><\/li>\n
        • Proof of Authority:<\/strong>\n
            \n
          • Authorization Letter and ID (if represented)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            * Barangay Clearance\/Certification is required for accounts with multiple registration.<\/em><\/p>\n

            \ud83d\udccc Conditions for the Availment<\/h3>\n
              \n
            • The individual meters must be registered in the name of the senior citizen<\/strong> residing therein.<\/li>\n
            • The monthly electricity consumption must not exceed 100 kWh<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
            • Privilege is granted per household<\/strong>, regardless of the number of senior citizens.<\/li>\n
            • Certificate of Registration must be applied and renewed annually.<\/strong><\/li>\n
            • Meter registration must be under the applicant\u2019s name for at least 1 year<\/strong> upon application filing.\n
